General Purpose
Shared vCPUs, balanced specs. The default for web apps, small databases and dev boxes.
High Frequency
Faster single-thread clocks and larger NVMe. Best for latency-sensitive apps and game servers.
Dedicated CPU
Guaranteed cores, Intel or AMD at the same price. Steady performance under sustained load.

Every plan, real prices
Retail USD pricing through Initech, billed monthly from your prepaid balance. Prices are "from": most locations charge the listed price, premium metros run higher. Not every plan is offered in every location; the configurator shows the exact price and live availability for your chosen location before checkout.

Windows Server 2016 through 2025 with RDP access, ready about 15 minutes after provisioning starts. Priced above the Linux plans, also payable in crypto.
NVIDIA Cloud GPU, from $90/mo
Fractional and dedicated NVIDIA GPUs on CUDA-ready Linux instances, in 11 GPU locations. Billed monthly from the same prepaid balance.
What actually moves the price
Plan family and size set the base. Location can add a premium in sought-after metros. Add-ons (block storage, extra IPs, DDoS protection) are flat monthly line items. Nothing is metered behind your back: transfer allowances are part of the plan.
Vultr sells direct. Why buy through us?
Same instances, same datacenters. What we add: one prepaid balance that also buys Hetzner, DigitalOcean, AWS, Google Cloud and Alibaba servers, sign-up with an email address, and payment in 18 cryptocurrencies or PayPal with no card on file. If you only ever need Vultr and pay by card, going direct is fine too.

What is the cheapest Vultr plan in 2026?
The General Purpose 1 vCPU / 1 GB RAM / 25 GB NVMe plan, from $10 per month through Initech. High Frequency and Dedicated CPU entry plans start at $12 per month.
Why do some locations cost more?
Premium metros carry a location surcharge, up to roughly 1.5x the base price on small plans. The exact monthly price for your chosen location is shown in the configurator before you order.
General Purpose, High Frequency or Dedicated CPU?
General Purpose is the balanced default. High Frequency buys faster single-thread performance and more NVMe for a ~20 percent premium. Dedicated CPU guarantees the cores are yours, which matters under sustained load. Optimized shapes tune the vCPU to RAM to storage ratio.
How much does a Vultr Windows VPS cost?
Windows plans start at $52 per month, with Windows Server 2016 through 2025 available and RDP credentials delivered after provisioning.
