The rules, stated plainly
BitTorrent is a protocol, and seeding content you have the rights to share is welcome here: Linux distributions, public datasets, your own releases, permissively licensed media, and private-tracker content you are entitled to distribute. Sharing copyrighted material without the rights to it is abuse. Our acceptable use policy applies to every server, DMCA and equivalent reports are investigated and acted on per our published process, and buying with crypto changes none of that.

01/Can I torrent copyrighted movies or shows on this?
No. Distributing copyrighted material you do not have the rights to is abuse, and DMCA and equivalent reports against your server are investigated and acted on under our published abuse process. This page is for content you are entitled to share.
02/Is BitTorrent itself allowed?
Yes. BitTorrent is a protocol with plenty of legitimate uses, from Linux ISOs to open datasets to distributing your own work. The protocol is welcome; infringement is not.
03/Which plan should I start with?
Pick by transfer allowance, then disk. The Hetzner CX23 at $10 per month in Nuremberg or Helsinki includes a 20 TB allowance and 40 GB of NVMe, which makes it the natural seedbox starting point; the CX33 at $16 doubles the disk. Add volume storage at $0.13/GB if your library outgrows it.
04/What happens if I hit my transfer allowance?
It depends on the provider line, and the honest answer is in our bandwidth guide: allowances are printed in each plan name, and if you expect to run close to the cap, open a ticket before you get there and we will talk options.
05/Do you offer managed seedboxes with apps preinstalled?
No. This is a VPS you build yourself with root access, which is the point: your client, your settings, your workflow. The setup guide gets qBittorrent running in about ten minutes.
